Having spent my childhood in two international cities, in Singapore and in Hong Kong for ten years, I've had good opportunities to visit countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the United States. Through these experiences, I have always enjoyed and valued a lifestyle with various cultures. On my first arrival in Hong Kong. I was overwhelmed by many unique , high-rise buildings lined up in high density, and that made me decide to pursue architectural design with a dream to "design a skyscraper building in Hong Kong someday!"

After graduating from Waseda University Graduate School Architecture, I have worked for the world-famous architect, Shigeru Ban for seven-and-a-half years. 

During those years I worked for more than 60 domestic and international projects, such as the Shizuoka Prefecture Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre and the Restaurant CALYPSO in Shanghai.

In 2019, to deepen my knowledge in architecture, I left Ban's office, and traveled to Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, New Zealand, India, etc. 

Unfortunately, in March, 2020, while in India, I had to stop traveling due to COVID-19 lock-down.  

However, taking this opportunity of a dramatic change in the world, I've established the architectural design studio “and MAKO” to reconsider lifestyles and people's relationships, and eventually to pursue and design sustainable new architectures.
